Supabarn was created by the Koundouris Group of companies in 1991. What began as a buying group for groceries has expanded into a recognised brand in the ACT and now NSW retail landscape. Supabarn has become a lot more than a local place to shop; they provide the complete package expected of full line supermarkets in today’s competitive and discerning market.

Supabarn first commenced trading in the Canberra City store in 1991, and now takes pride of place in the new Canberra Centre trading in 2500sqm of retail space.

The Koundouris Group of companies was formed in 1965 in the ACT and Eric Koundouris has lived in Canberra for over 40 years. With the next generation of Koundouris boys taking over the reins, the company has expanded across Canberra and into the heart of Sydney’s inner west and Sutherland Shire districts.
