Chocolate Chip Cookies
TOTAL TIME: 30 Minutes
250 g butter
2 cups brown sugar
½ cup caster sugar
2 tsp vanilla essence
2 cups self-raising flour
1½ cups plain flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 cups dark/milk/white chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 160ºC.
Melt butter in a large bowl in the microwave. Stir in brown sugar and caster sugar until smooth and sugar has dissolved.
Add eggs and vanilla to the sugar mixture.
Sift flours and baking powder together into a separate bowl and gradually add to the sugar mixture until combined.
Stir through chocolate chips.
Drop rounded tablespoons of the mixture onto lined baking trays then bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until a golden brown colour.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool on trays.
NOTE: Substitute the chocolate chips for your favourite chocolate bar chopped up.
